Koil-Narwa link road in Shambles, commuters suffer
Pulwama: The commuters suffer as the link road between Koil and Narwa village in Pulwama district is in shambles.
The link road was constructed in 2005-06 to ease the distance between two villages. However due to non-maintainence of road by (R&B) Roads and Buildings Department, the road has developed deep path-holes due to which commuters face difficulties in traveling on this road.
Locals said, “it’s difficult for us to travel on this road as there are chances of accidents due to path-holes.”
“During rains it becomes more difficult for people especially children and old-age people to walk on this road as there is much water-logging all around”, locals added.
“The road was never repaired by R&B department since its construction almost 15 years ago which is creating huge problems to daily commuters”, said another local.
The locals have now appealed district administration Pulwama to solve their problem.
“We appeal to Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langar and Tehsildar Pulwama to take measures to repair this road”, said locals.
We also appeal to Chief Engineer R&B Department to have a look at this road and repair it to ease the sufferings of people, locals further said.
