Kishtwar Lady Along With Her Minor Children Recovered From Gujarat, Reunited With Family: Police

JAMMU (KIMS) — A lady from Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir along with her minor children was successfully recovered from Gujarat after intensive efforts and reunited with her family, Police said on Friday.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police in a press release said, a written complaint about kidnapping of lady, whose name is being withheld along with her kids was received at Police Station Kishtwar. Based on the complaint, Police registered a Case FIR No. 271/2023 at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation was initiated.

A special squad was formed on the directions of SSP Kishtwar, led by SHO Police Station Kishtwar, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday and PSI Ankush Kumar under the supervision of DySP (Hqrs) Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta conducted raids at different suspected locations with the assistance of technical resources. After rigorous efforts, the lady was located at Gujarat State, and following all necessary legal procedures, she was reunited with her family, the press release said. — (KIMS)
