Killing of innocent civilians is highest form of Human Rights Violation, we need to condemn collectively: Tariq Bhat

ANN News chairman Tariq Bhat on Thursday said that Killing of innocent civilians is highest form of Human Rights Violation that people need to condemn collectively.
Bhat was speaking as a Chief Guest during an event in Srinagar organized by Uttar Pradesh based organization World Human Rights Council.
“Human Rights Organizations in Kashmir have exploited the term HR violations. They have mostly played one sided role and abused the term HR violations. I want to be loud and clear. Terrorism is the highest form of terrorism that we all need to fight against and condemn in one voice,” Bhat said.
Referring to recent civilian killings in Kashmir and the killing of Policeman in Baghat and Nowgam, he said that Human Rights Organizations mus raise their concern on these issues.
“A Policeman is taking tea at tea stall and the gunmen came and kills him. A Police officer, off the duty, comes out of the Masjid after offering prayers is shot dead by militants. This is the highest form of HR violations,” Bhat said.
He added that all Human Right Organizations must unite and highlight these HR violations at International Level and expose the faces behind these terror attacks.

Malik Yaqoob, Chairman Pampore Municipal Council said that nation stand with all those who speak for truth. “The situation in Kashmir is different. We appreciate the event organizers fro sponsoring the civil service coaching of Kashmiri students. For all their effort which are meant to serve the nation, they will find us all standing with them,” he said.
During this event, various doctors, teachers, advocates and journalists were felicitated.
EJAC General Secretary Ghulam Rasool Jeelani also spoke on the occasion.
Zubair Aalam, J&K Chairman for World Human Rights Council presented vote of thanks and reiterated that the organization would continue to work for the welfare and betterment of people in J&K.
