Kathua: GDC Mahanpur hosts Guest Lecture on POSH Act

KATHUA, MARCH 8: Government Degree College, Mahanpur observed International Women’s Day on 8th of March 2023. The event was organised under the supervision of Principal Dr Sangeeta Sudan.

Dr Anupama Mahajan, Professor, Department of Commerce, Bharti College, University of Delhi imparted  online awareness lecture on “Empowering Women through awareness on sexual harassment at workplace: Knowing POSH Act”. She spoke on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, often known as the ‘POSH Act’, at length and also provided information about the Internal Complaint Cell (ICC) for addressing sexual harassment cases in an institution.

Principal of the college, Dr Sangeeta Sudan, also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the resource person for an informative session on the subject

The program was hosted by Dr Neetika Verma. Among others, students and faculty members including Dr Balbinder Singh, Prof Arvind Kumar, Saurabh Dutta, Prof Meena Devi, Dr Parshotam Dass and Dr Ajay Singh Manhas were also present.
