Kashmir’s Situation Worsened by Central Govt.’s Muscular, Repressive Policies: Mehbooba Mufti
PDP Chief visits residence of slain Ambreen Bhat in Budgam
Srinagar 27 May (KDC): People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Mehbooba Mufti on Friday visited the residence of Ambreen Bhat, who was killed by militants days ago at her home in Budgam’s Hushroo area, said that the “muscular” and “repressive” policies of BJP government has resulted in deterioration of the situation in Kashmir.
“Instead of the situation getting better, it has worsened due to the muscular and repressive policies of the central government,” Mehbooba said according to Kashmir Dot Com.
The centre-led government is often seen claiming that everything has improved in J&K, but nothing of such has happened, she said, adding that innocent killings are taking place every day in the Valley.
“The BJP government is looking at the J&K issue through a security and religious angle, thus being inconsiderate to the killings of the people here,” she added.
After visiting the family in Budgam, Mehbooba Mufti tweeted, “Visited Ambreen Bhat’s family. Shocked to know that no one from LG admin has bothered to visit them. A sole breadwinner, she struggled to make ends meet. Hope the govt takes her circumstances into consideration & extends help.” (KDC)
