Kashmir Files Movie Director Agnihotri misunderstands ANN News location, stands corrected

Srinagar, March 19: Bollywood film director Vivek Agnihotri Saturday expressed “sorry” for misunderstanding the location of ANN News.

 

Agnihotri shared one of the clips of ANN News debate on his tweeter handle wherein he lauded the debate and views of Javaid Beigh, one of the speakers in debate.

However, he wrote that the debate was run on “Pakistan Channel.” Within less than five minutes, his follower corrected him that ANN News is a Kashmir based 24*7 Tv News Channel.

 

 

I am told this is Kashmiri channel. Can someone confirm please? If true, I am sorry for misunderstanding,” he tweeted immediately the first tweet in question.

Soon after this tweet, he confirmed that he has learnt the channel was Kashmir based. His confirmation was against tweet which reads: “Yes. You are right. ANN, is a commercial television news network in INDIA run by ‘South Asia News Network’ Pvt. Ltd. Corp. ANN is the broadcast supplier of news program to all ANN-affiliated stations. It also operates a 24-hour cable Tv news channel.”

“Thanks. I stand corrected (regarding the location of channel),” he tweeted.

 

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is an Indian film director, screenwriter, author and activist who works in Hindi cinema. As of 2019, he is a member of the board of India’s Central Board of Film Certification and a cultural representative of Indian Cinema at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

The Kashmir Files is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language drama film, written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The film is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir Insurgency which is racing towards to Rs 150 crore on Box Office.
