Kashmir and Ladakh higher reaches from mid night experienced a fresh spell of snowfall while the plains received rains.

Result , temperature across Kashmir has dropped significantly due to the weather change and the Meteorological Department (MeT) as, predicted expect, improvement in weather conditions from tomorrow,

Rains started to lash early Friday morning while light snowfall over higher reaches including Gulmarag, Sonamarg, Gurez Doodpathri budgam and other areas was experienced during the mid night night.

Several roads that connect borders towns with respective district headquarters including the Mughal and Gurez road were closed.

Meanwhile, an independent weather forecaster said that more rain and snowfall are predicted during next 10-12hrs over most parts of Jammu and Kashmir
