“Kashmakash” NGO becomes helping hand, Served 70 vulnerable families before Eid

Pulwama, May 22: At a time hundreds of migrant workers were walking back to their homes in villages from far-away cities where work was dried up for them due to lock-down, our Organization “Kashmakash” came out to help in providing food in places where they were stranded.

They didn’t left a single stone unturned to help those who lost their jobs and hopes and were stranded in distant places. Our organisation started crowd-funding efforts to find a way out to help those in need of help.

Kashmakash opened a window for those daily wagers affected by COVID-19 and BPL Families who were badly affected by this invisible creed catastrophe.

Our organization served 325 vulnerable Families and of vulnerable background with basic necessities .The financial impact, especially on families that survive on daily income – labourers, domestic help, taxi drivers, restaurant waiters, have been far-reaching by our organization.

This crowdfunding initiative by Kashmakash was to highlight citizen initiatives carried out to mitigate the economic crisis faced by vulnerable families.

300 staranded migrant workers were provided with adequate food and basic Ammenties for 24 Hours by our organization. Those stranded migrant workers were Quarantined at Women’s College Pulwama.

Girls wing of Kashmakash has also initiated a new trend to fight Corona’, which is raising funds to provide the poor with soaps, sanitisers masks and sanitary Napkins (Door to Door process).

“To contain the spread of the virus and flatten the curve, the crucial step is to maintain the required hygiene standards and helping hand from any Organization Just like Kashmakash.

A large section of the country, the vulnerable and downtrodden communities have little or no access to the sanitation standards and amenities required to prevent coronavirus. But our Organization has tried to do our best to reach out to those who are in need of help.
