Justice Sanjeev visits B’la; inspects District Court Bla, Sopore
Also Interacts with Bar Association Baramulla
BARAMULLA, JUNE 20: Justice Sanjeev Kumar Shukla, Judge High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, who is also Administrative Judge for District Baramulla today visited Baramulla where he reviewed the functioning of District Court Baramulla.
He was accompanied by Joint Registrar High Court, Abdul Bari.
On his arrival to Baramulla, Sanjeev Kumar was given a warm reception and guard of honor.
Principal District & Sessions Judge Baramulla, Mohammad Yousuf Wani; Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar; Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Baramulla, Fariqa Nazir besides various others dignitaries of concerned departments were present on the occasion.
At the outset, Justice Sanjeev had a brief meeting during which Principal District & Session Judge Baramulla appraised him regarding the progress of Judiciary proceedings. He said various new and innovative methods have been introduced from time to time to make Justice delivery easier to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Sanjeev expressed satisfaction over judicial facilities being provided along with legal services.
Moreover, he directed the Deputy Commissioner for redoubling the efforts so that all the developmental works being carried out associated with the district Court will be accomplished in a time bound manner.
After taking stock of the Court functioning, the administrative Judge also interacted with the members of Bar Association Baramulla during which President Bar Association Baramulla appraised the Judge with regard to various issues hampering the functioning of the Court viz. appointment of Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Placement of Permanent Judge for Juvenile Justice Board, Permanent Secretary District Legal Services Authority Baramulla besides providing 50 Chambers for Lawyers equipped with necessary facilities.
The Association also demanded that the Consumer Court to function in District Court Baramulla.
The Administrative Judge after hearing all the issues and demands said that the issues raised would be considered as a priority and will be resolved in a time bound manner.
Meanwhile, the Administrative Judge also visited Sopore during which he inspected Additonal District Court Sopore and interacted with Bar Association and other concerned stakeholders.
