Journalist turns politician, joins PDP

Srinagar, Aug 28: The renowned Tv anchor Syed Tajamul on Tuesday joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the presence of the party president, Mehbooba Mufti.

The event took place at the PDP headquarters here, where Tajamul expressed his commitment to working for the betterment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Tajamul has worked with several reputed media houses.

Addressing the gathering, Mehbooba Mufti welcomed Tajamul to the party, highlighting the importance of young and passionate individuals joining hands to shape a better future.

“Tajamul’s experience in media and his understanding of public issues will be invaluable as we continue our struggle for the rights and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Mufti said.

Speaking on his decision to join politics, Syed Tajamul said, “After years of covering stories from the ground, I realized the need to actively participate in the political process to bring about real change.

I have seen the challenges faced by the common people, and I am committed to working towards a peaceful and prosperous J&K,” he said.
