Joint Delegation of Medical Employees Federation and Medical Faculty Association Meets JK UT Chief Secretary, Discusses Major issues
Srinagar, Nov 04 : A joint delegation of the Medical Employees Federation, led by President Shabir Ahmad Langoo, Vice President Adil Mustafa Bhat, and General Secretary Shahnawaz Ahmad Reshi, along with representatives from the Medical Faculty Association, led by Prof. Altaf Kawoosa, Prof. Afroz Khan, Prof. Naveed Nazir, Dr. Arshad Rashid, Dr. Mudasir Malik, and Dr. Syed Sajadkmr, held two separate meetings with the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir UT and the Administrative Secretary of the Health and Medical Education Department.
The discussions focused on several pressing issues impacting doctors and medical staff within the Health and Medical Education Department. Key topics included concerns over the recent implementation of odd duty shift timings, the long-standing issues of contractual employees under SRO 384, and matters related to Hospital Development Fund (HDF) employees and employees under AAB (Atmanirbhar Abhiyaan Bharat).
The delegation also raised concerns about the delayed salaries of HDF and AAB employees, emphasizing the need for prompt solutions.
The Chief Secretary and Administrative Secretary assured the delegation of their commitment to addressing these issues on a priority basis and acknowledged the legitimacy of the demands presented.
