JKPSI recruitment cancelled, CBI probe ordered, says LG Manoj Sinha
Culprits will be brought to justice soon, future course of action for fresh recruitment soon
Srinagar, July 08 Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha on Friday cancelled the police sub-inspectors recruitment after illegations of fraud in the recruitment process surfaced.
The LG futher informed that the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI), probe has been recommended into selection process while the culprits will be brought to justice soon.
“It’s a first big step towards securing future of our youth & govt will soon decide future course of action for fresh recruitment,” the LG said.
The list of successful 1,200 successful candidates was declared by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board on June 4. Over 97,000 candidates had appeared in the exam for the posts.
However, soon after the declaration of the result online, unsuccessful candidates took to the street alleging fraud in the recruitment process. Some took to social media questioning how two over-20 siblings got selected together in the sub-inspector exam
Earlier, the LG had said that the recruitment (list) would be cancelled if any wrongdoing is found during the inquiry.*(KNS)*.
