JKPCC stages silent protest in Sgr over suspension of MPs in Parliament
Srinagar, Dec 22 : The workers of Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Friday staged a silent protest against the suspension of Members of Parliament (MPs) here in Srinagar.
The protesting workers expressed their dismay and termed it a regrettable and unprecedented act within the parliament.
Speaking to the media persons, the protesting JKPCC workers, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the suspension of MPs in parliament is very unfortunate.
“These members were elected by votes, and suspending them is very unfortunate and shameful. We have never seen such an incident taking place in the parliament before, and we condemn this act,” said Imtiyaz Khan, party’s District Srinagar President.
“We demand the cancellation of the suspension of these members, and the protest won’t stop until the suspension is revoked,” they added—(KNO)
