JKPCC Chief Appoints Interim District Presidents: Umer Jaan Named Pulwama Head

SRINAGAR, October 23, 2024 – Ahead of the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Panchayat elections, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, Tariq Hameed Karra, announced the appointment of interim District Presidents on Wednesday.

In the reshuffle, senior Congress leader and former BDC Chairman of Kakapora, Umer Jaan, was named Interim District President for Pulwama. The appointments aim to streamline the party’s operations across districts, following the dissolution of previous committees after the selection of new leadership in August, the official statement said.
