JKBOSE modifies question papers of Class 12th on analogy of CBSE pattern

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) Thursday modified question papers of 12th standard on analogy of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the regular annual examinations scheduled to be held in 2020.

However, BOSE officials further said that the examination of those students who have re-appeared or have failed on the old pattern will continue to be held for one year.

The modification in question papers applies for the students of Kashmir division, winter areas of Jammu division and Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh from the academic session in 2019-20 and in summer zone areas of Jammu division the same shall be applicable for academic session 2020-21.

In an order issued by BOSE director academics, Farooq Ahmad Peer said, “The pattern design of question papers has been modified and the new question papers shall now be framed taking into consideration the parameters viz analytical approach, critical thinking and objective etc on the analogy of CBSE for the annual (Regular) examination scheduled to be held in October-November 2020

“The examination of re-appear or failure candidates on the old pattern of question papers shall continue to be held for only one year in two (02) subsequent examinations,” he said.
