J&K: SIA conducts raid in Bathindi area of Jammu in alleged terror funding case

SIA searches houses of a Head Costable of JKP and an Abu Baker of Bhatindi for raising funds and possessing assets through dubious means.

 

 

 

State Investigation Agency (SIA) of J&K police conducted raids at multiple locations in Bhathindi of Jammu and Kulgam district of South Kashmir today on 21.9.2022 (Wednesday) in case F.I.R NO.4.P/S JIC JAMMU .

 

Carrying forward the probe into the involvement of a policeman in a case of suspected illegal funding, fake passport and involvement of the duo in a variety of frauds and cheating under various sections of different criminal law and accumulation of properties beyond their known sources of income, teams of SIA Jammu wing conducted searches in the houses of one absconding accused namely Abu Bakar in Bhatindi area of Jammu city, who is at large and hiding in Dubai and of a police Head Constable Mohmmad Ramzan Rishi in Kulgam area of South Kashmir. Ramzan is also suspected to have prepared a passport hiding his true identity including that he is a policeman. Ramzan, it is believed has traveled abroad using this forged passport. His stay and activities abroad are being ascertained. The case in hand relates to the duping of public of their hard earned money on many fake assurances, promises and also indulging in serious immoral activities having dangerous security implications for the state.

During the course of raids at two different locations in Jammu and Kashmir, search parties have seized various incriminating material having a direct bearing on

investigation of the case viz a viz raising of dubious funding. The connections between duping common citizens assuring them of a variety of government services and benefits, preparing putting the money in assets and using fake passport to travel abroad require several connections of the dots, said sources.
