J&K Police Committed to Secure Polls, Says IGP Kashmir

Birdi highlighted the multi-tier security arrangements in place, involving various agencies like the J&K police armed wing, executive, and CRPF. Quick Response Teams (QRTs), Special Response Teams (SRTs), and inter-district Nakas have been made more effective to ensure seamless security.
The IGP emphasized that a three-tier arrangement has been put in place to guarantee the safe movement of security forces, security at booths, and polling stations.
“We are committed to providing a secure environment for the polls,” Birdi said. “Our multi-tier security plan is designed to ensure that voters can exercise their franchise without any fear or intimidation.” (KNS)
