J&K govt to start special drive for advocates between 18-45 years from May 25

Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Monday said it will start a special vaccination drive for advocates in the age group of 18-45 years in eight districts in the Union Territory of J&K.

In this regard, a notice was issued by the additional Secretary to the Government of J&K.

“Government of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to start special vaccination drive for advocates in the age group of 18-45 years. This has been decided in order to take immediate measures for ensuring that advocates, who are at greater risk of contacting infection owing to their vocation, are vaccinated,” the notice said.

According to the notice, the special vaccination camps will be organized phase-wise in Jammu, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Budgam, Udhampur, Kathua and Rajouri districts.

The 1st Phase shall take place on May 25 for advocates practicing in the Srinagar wing and Jammu wing of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, as well as the advocates practicing in Jammu and Srinagar districts and will be held at the respective court complexes.

The the 2nd Phase will be for advocates practicing in the district courts of Baramulla, Anantnag, Budgam, Udhampur, Kathua and Rajouri districts on May 27 and May 28. It will be held at the respective district court complexes.

Eligible advocates will have to bring Aadhaar cards with them for registration of vaccination. (Bar and Bench)
