J&K Govt approves Rs 19.99 crore Sewage Treatment Plant for Ganderbal under Used Water Management Project
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, on Thursday approved the Used Water Management Project, which includes the establishment of a ₹19.99 crore Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for Ganderbal town.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the initiative aims to ensure proper treatment of used water, maintain river cleanliness, and improve overall public health and sanitation in the district.
The project is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen urban infrastructure and promote sustainable water management practices in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, the government also approved the Chief Minister’s Scheme for Introduction of Heritage Courses under the Skill Development Department to preserve cultural heritage and promote skill-based livelihoods across the Union Territory. — (KIMS)
