J&K BJP all set to expel 6 leaders from party

Srinagar, Feb 17: Taking cognizance of anti-party activities of some members, J&K Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to expel six members, party insiders privy to the development told ANN News.
Insiders said that internal inquiry has been completed against these six members and they have been found guilty of “unpardonable indiscipline and anti-party activities.”
“The expulsion notice will be issued shortly,” they said, adding, “all these six members are presenting themselves as BJP senior leaders in the public.”
Recently, J&K BJP unit expelled its two members from the basic membership of the party.
If sources are to be believed, J&K unit BJP want to clear party from the members who have brought ‘disrepute’ to party and have been using “BJP for its vested interests rather than serving people and promoting party in J&K.”
Pertinently, about some persons the public perception is that they joined BJP but only to obtain security or to get their own jobs done in government offices rather than serving the party or public.
On 20 July 2021, BJP suspended its Kupwara district president Mohammad Shafi Mir after it emerged that his son and personal security officers had staged a terror attack to grab the limelight.
On 4 December 2020, BJP expelled 10 members for anti-party activities after eight of them contested the District Development Council (DCC) polls and the panchayat by-elections in the union territory against the party’s official candidates.
On 29 September 2023 BJP disciplinary committee has issued notice to 8 party leaders in the Kashmir Valley for indulging in ant-party activities.
On 3 October 2023 The Jammu and Kashmir BJP expelled 15 “rebel” workers from the party for anti-party activities ahead of the local bodies polls.
On 10 December 2018 Bali Bhagat was suspended for three months on the recommendation of the disciplinary committee of the J&K BJP for his role in the alleged abduction of an ex-Serviceman’s daughter.
