JeM Commander Kaiser Koka among slain in Awantipora Encounter
Pulwama, Jul 11 : Two militants including JeM Commander Kaiser Koka were killed in a gunfight that broke out between militants and government forces at Wandakpora village of Awantipora area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said on Monday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a joint team of police, Army and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter. He said during exchange of fire, two militants were killed.
Meanwhile ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that Kaiser was active since 2018 and was involved in many militancy related activities—(KNO)
