Jammu & Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen and Awami Action Committee Declared Unlawful Under UAPA

In a decisive move to safeguard national integrity and peace, the Government of India has declared two organizations, ‘Jammu & Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen’ and ‘Awami Action Committee’, as unlawful associations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). These groups have been accused of inciting unrest, causing disruptions to law and order, and posing significant threats to the unity and sovereignty of Bharat.

The decision follows thorough investigations revealing that both organizations were actively involved in instigating anti-national sentiments. According to government sources, these groups were mobilizing people to create disturbances in Jammu & Kashmir, undermining efforts to restore peace and stability in the region. Their activities allegedly aimed to provoke violence, disrupt law and order, and hinder India’s progress toward unity and development in Jammu & Kashmir.

The move aligns with the Modi government’s robust policy of zero tolerance for activities that threaten the nation’s sovereignty and peace. Authorities have warned that any individual found participating in or supporting these banned organizations will face strict legal action under UAPA. The government’s firm stance underscores its commitment to eradicating terrorism and maintaining order in the country.

Since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the government has intensified efforts to stabilize Jammu & Kashmir by targeting extremist elements and fostering development in the region. Declaring these groups unlawful is seen as a continuation of this approach, ensuring that any entity disrupting harmony and peace faces accountability.

This development serves as a strong message to individuals and organizations engaging in activities against India’s sovereignty and unity. The Modi government’s unwavering resolve to counter internal threats reflects its commitment to preserving the nation’s peace and integrity.

In the words of government officials, “Anyone found indulging in activities that challenge the nation’s peace and order will face the crushing blow of justice.”

The crackdown reinforces the government’s agenda to ensure that Jammu & Kashmir continues to move toward peace, stability, and prosperity, leaving no space for divisive forces.
