Jamia Milia Islamia puts Online Proctored Mode examination on hold
Srinagar: Jamia Milia Islamia University has decided to put Online Proctored Mode examination for students on hold till further orders.
Controller Examination in this regard has issued a notification that states that Vice Chancellor put the Online Proctored Mode examination on hold.
“in suppression of the Office Notice COE / Exam / 14/2020 published on the university website on 07 December 2020, regarding the conduct of odd semester / year end examinations through Online Proctored Mode the Vice – Chancellor has very kindly put the odd semester / year end examination on hold in view of the following:
The university has received several representations from the students regarding their problems / issues with online proctored examination.
The university has apprised the University Grants Commission (UGC) of the concerns of the students and the decision of the university regarding mode of conduct of examinations. The directions / guidelines from the UGC on the matter are sought and still awaited.
The university shall take its decision regarding the mode of conduct of examination in consonance with the directions / guidelines received from the UGC on the matter.
Meanwhile the students are advised to relax and continue with their ongoing online classes and their preparation for examination. They may frequently visit the university examination website, www.jmicoe.in for any further update on the matter. (KNT)
