“Jamaiat-us-Saulihat” is ‘proxy institution’ of proscribed Jamat-e-Islami: reveals investigation

The investigation conducted by the counter intelligence wing of CID in Marhama land case has revealed that “Jamaiat-us-Saulihat”, is  ‘proxy’ institution of proscribed organization Jamate-Islami.
It further reveals that a banned organization have already constructed a three storey building over the Marhama land in Anantnag and two other buildings are also under construction.
Locals told ANN News that the institution is imparting at present education to more than 350 students with boarding and lodging facilities.
The investigation reveals that Marhama village was a very peaceful place, however, after establishment of this institution a large area around it witnessed a rise in terrorism and secessionism related agitation, arson and other unlawful and terrorist activities.
An official, wishing annonmity confirmed to ANN News that during investigation it was found that with the active support of terrorist organisations and members of JeI.
“The Managing Body of the institution have been covertly instigating and motivating local youth and students of the institution to variously support the ongoing secessionist-cum-terrorist programme in J&K so as to achieve their ultimate objective of secession of the J&K from the Union of India by waging a war against it,” said a official privy to the probe.
Counter intelligence wing of CID, the newly constituted State intelligence agency carried out house searches of several members of the managing body of“Jamaiat-us-Saulihat” in Marhama, in Anantnag. Search of the main premises of the seminary was also undertaken.
The searches were conducted under court warrantsto probe the allegations that under a criminal conspiracy with the officials of the Revenue Department have fraudulently transferred the land to “Jamaiat-us-Saulihat.”
It is further alleged that some Jamaat-e-Islami members using influence of separatists and terrorist outfits especially Hizbul Mujahideen, managed to deviously manipulate and forge revenue records and transfer the common community Kahchariae land measuring 35 Kanals at Marhama to “Jamaiat-us-Saulihat.”
Police Station Counter Intelligence Kashmir, Srinagar, is investigating the allegations. The investigation is also looking into the allegations that funds have been raised by the institute  by different ways for furtherance of terrorist activities.
The 15 accused named in FIR include Assadulah Bhat of Bagh-e-Mehtab, Srinagar, Abur  Rehman Mir of Hatigam Srigufwara, Bilal Ahmad Dar of Sirhama, Srigufwara, Mudasir Nengroo, and Abdul Rashid Shah, the then Tehsildar Bijbehara , and Muhammad Amin Padder the then Patwari
