IRCS put forward helping hand to needy families

Distributes ration, essential items to 140 poor families

JAMMU, MAY 06: In an effort to provide the essential commodities to the needy people in this lockdown period due to Coronavirus,  Indian Red Cross Society have been distributing ration and other food items to the poor families of Jammu District.

 Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region Vinod Malhotra along with his team distributed ration and other food items to 140 poor and needy families of Kalika Colony (Bahu Fort) and 50 families of newspaper vendors assembled near Amar Ujalla office at warehouse Jammu.

Red Cross Society also distributed masks, sanitizers and germicide soaps to labourers at warehouse Jammu.

Beside above, 9 members of 3 poor families of Doda and Kishtwar who were stranded in Jammu due to lockdown were sent to their native places in the Red Cross vehicle. Moreover, ration and some financial assistance were also provided to these families.
