Inter-Battalion Volleyball Championship 2024 Organized By CRPF Srinagar Sector Commences In Srinagar
Srinagar, March 14: Inter-Operational Battalion and Group Centre Volleyball Championship 2024 organized by
Central Police Reserve Force (CRPF) Srinagar sector was kicked off in Srinagar on Thursday.
Hosted by the 44 Battalion CRPF at their unit headquarters in the HMT Complex, Zainakote, Srinagar, the tournament, spanning from March 14 to 16, this year, promises a spectacle of athleticism and camaraderie, said organizers.
A total of 23 teams, representing diverse CRPF battalions stationed in Srinagar, are set to compete fiercely for the prestigious championship title.
The opening ceremony, graced by Chief Guest Raj Kumar, Commandant 73 BN CRPF, witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Rajesh Sankhla, Commandant 28 Battalion CRPF, and P.S Ghosh, Commandant (AOL) of 44 BN CRPF, alongside senior officers and jawans from Srinagar-based units.
“More than just a battleground for athletic prowess, this tournament serves as a unifying force, fostering a sense of unity and esprit de corps among CRPF personnel stationed in Srinagar,” said organizers.
They added that it offers a platform for physical fitness, stress relief, and team cohesion, essential elements in maintaining a resilient and motivated force.
The robust participation of 23 teams underscores the vibrant sporting culture ingrained within the CRPF Srinagar sector.
“With days filled with exhilarating matches ahead, the championship promises not only thrilling encounters but also a testament to the unwavering sporting spirit within the CRPF ranks,” said the participating teams.
