Infiltration Bid Foiled In Battal Sector In Poonch, Soldier Killed
JAMMU (KIMS) — A soldier was killed after the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt in the Battal Sector of the Krishna Ghati area in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday.
During the exchange of fire between the Indian Army and the infiltrating militants at around 3:00 AM, one soldier was injured.
The Indian Army’s Jammu-based White Knight Corps stated, “Alert troops foiled an infiltration bid by effectively engaging the infiltrating militants with fire in the Battal Sector at 0300 hours. During the heavy exchange of fire, one braveheart was injured.”
The injured soldier was hospitalized for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Lance Naik Subhash Chander.
