India Salutes Its Bravehearts: Infantry Day Celebrated with Pride and Patriotism Across the Nation
Srinagar, October 27, 2025:
With the spirit of patriotism echoing across the valley and the nation, India today celebrates Infantry Day — a day that marks the indomitable courage and supreme sacrifice of the Indian Army’s foot soldiers. The occasion commemorates October 27, 1947, when the Indian Infantry made history by defending the sovereignty of Jammu & Kashmir, reclaiming its sacred soil from invading forces, and ensuring the nation’s first military victory in independent India.
Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Tajamul Hussain Choudhary paid rich tributes to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the unity and integrity of Bharat. He said,
“Infantry Day is not just a day of remembrance; it is a day of pride. It reminds us that our freedom is built on the courage of those who stand guard at the borders, often in the harshest conditions. From Siachen to Arunachal, our infantrymen continue to embody the spirit of India — fearless, devoted, and unbreakable.”
He further added that the Infantry is the very soul of the Indian Army, representing unmatched discipline, courage, and commitment. The infantrymen are the first to march into battle and the last to return — protecting every inch of the nation’s territory with unyielding determination.
Adv. Choudhary emphasized the importance of modernising and empowering the armed forces through indigenous defence production, ensuring that every soldier receives the best technology and support.
“A powerful nation is one that empowers its defenders. We must always stand with our soldiers, honour their sacrifices, and work towards building a strong, self-reliant Bharat,” he remarked.
The day serves as a reminder that freedom is not free — it is earned every day through the sacrifices of those who guard the nation. Citizens across India paid homage to the martyrs, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the ideals of unity, strength, and patriotism.
As the tricolour fluttered high, the echoes of “Jai Jawan, Jai Hind, Vande Mataram” filled the air — a tribute to every soldier who carries the nation’s flag not just in his hand, but in his heart.
