India reports highest spike of 38902 Covid-19 cases, 543 deaths in last 24 hours
New Delhi: With 38,902 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours, biggest single-day spike ever, India’s COVID-19 tally on Sunday reached 10,77,618, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. According to the Union Health Ministry, 543 fatalities were reported during the same period, taking India’s death toll to 26,816.
As per the data available at the Health Ministry website, there are 3,73,379 active coronavirus cases in India while the recovery rate stands at 62.86. 6,77,423 people have been cured from coronavirus and discharged from hospitals, the Health Ministry noted.
