India, Pak armies exchange sweets along LoC at Teetwal

Kupwara Nov 4, The armies of India and Pakistan on Thursday exchanged sweets and greeting each other on the occasion of Diwali along Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal Sector Of Karnah north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
To mark the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, both; the Indian Army and Pakistan Army celebrated the same on the Line of Control (LoC) at Tithwal Crossing Bridge on thursday.

Both the countries exchanged sweets and compliments with their representatives in an atmosphere of bonhomie and festivities.

The bridge at Teetwal has been a key enabler for such peace meetings. The calm along the LC as a result of ceasefire agreement has brought warmth which has been displayed on several occasions between the two neighbours.The sweets exchange is a gesture appreciated by both countries and is expected to go a long way in promoting peace, harmony and compassion in the true spirit of the festival with a hope of better future ahead.

Local people on either side also termed these gestures as unique which in turn will bring security to the population living along the borders and promote prosperity and happiness.
