India logs 2,38,018 new Covid-19 cases, 310 deaths

New Delhi: India reports 2,38,018 fresh cases of Covid-19, positive cases of coronavirus declined as 20,071 less cases are reported on Tuesday as compared to reported figures of January 17, positivity rate today falls to 14.43 per cent in a day.

Recovery rate stands at 94.09 per cent as total of 1,57,421 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours as informed by Union Health Ministry.

Death rate in the country is recorded to be at 1.29 per cent, as many as 310 deaths due to Covid-19 were reported. So far India has 17,36,628 active cases, that have increased by 4.62 per cent recording 80,287 more Covid-19 positive cases in last 24 hours of a day.

Daily Positivity rate falls to 14.43 per cent from 19.65 per cent as was recorded on January 17, 2022.

Total cases of Omicron cases reaches to a tally of 8,891 cases detected, noting an increase of 8.31% since January 17, 2022.

Vaccinations today crossed 158.04 crores doses as nearly 80 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours as updated by Union Health Ministry.
