India extends ban on UK Flights till January 7, 2021
New Delhi: Extending the temporary suspension of flights between Indian and United Kingdom Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday announced that passenger flights between India and UK will remain suspended till January 7, 2021, after which the services will resume under strict regulation.
Puri said on Twitter: “Decision has been taken to extend the temporary suspension of flights to & from the UK till 7 January 2021.”
“Thereafter strictly regulated resumption will take place for which details will be announced shortly,” he said.
The Civil Aviation Ministry had last week suspended all flights between India and the UK from December 23 to December 31 over the mutated variant of the virus.
