Police Officers who are an ‘inspiration’ for youngsters of Kashmir because of their ‘excellence’ in public service

Srinagar, July 6: In Kashmir, some police officers have become an inspiration for youngsters due to their excellent performance of duties and people friendly behavior.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Chaudhary is one of the police officers who is very close to hearts of people especially to youth in Kashmir.
The youngsters in Kashmir are acting upon his advices, especially those who want to crack prestigious exams like Indian Administrative Services (IAS).
Chaudhary has served in Shopain and Anantnag district of Kashmir where large number of youth have taken selfies with him and feel proud in showing it others.
Chaudhary launched Operation Dreams to empower youngsters to crack competitive exams for government jobs without getting exploited by coaching institutes and costly study tutorials.
The aim of this initiative remained to guide youngsters towards a self-study-based approach for cracking competitive exams.
The initiative saw great response from youngsters and large number of aspirants benefited from it.
The policing of Chaudhary, as per locals of Kashmir, is more humanitarian than the pushing astray youth to walls.
“He is an excellent and disciplined officer. The helpful to all and an inspiration of youngsters,” said a Professor of Political Science of Kashmir University.
A scholar at Kashmir University said that Chaudhary, who is currently SSP Srinagar, changed the mindset of local youth through his humanitarian approach by redressing reason their grievances and problems.
Ghulam Rosool of Downtown area in Srinagar said drug menace in district Srinagar has witnessed considerable decline after Chaudhary took over as SSP Srinagar.
“We really want that SSP Chaudhary launces Operation Dreams in Srinagar too to guide youngsters who want to crack civil services,” said a group of scholars at Kashmir University.
“In actions of Chaudhary local youth saw the real image of India. Through his action, he proved India loves people Kashmir,” said a professor of Philosophy, who wished not to be named.
In south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, SSP Imtiyaz Hussain’s public outreach programmes are being lauded by one and all in the district.
He has also been active on social media to respond to the grievances and complaints of people.
In one of the complaints, a youth asked SSP Anantnag if cops stop could “moral policing” and allow youngsters to enjoy nature at Pahalgam – an area falling under the jurisdiction of Anantnag.
Hussain was quick to respond to which he received thousands of “thanks texts” especially from youngsters.
Recently, the SSP Imtiyaz Hussain organized a public rally wherein common masses were educated about the drug menace, and threat posed by militancy. The rally was voluntarily attended by large number of people especially youngsters.
Today my son is working in a reputed private organization earning Rs 25000 per month to support the family. He had gone astray and it was only after counseling by Imitiyaz Husain that changed his life from bad to good forever,” said Rasool, a parent.
Hussain is known for his support local youth in Kashmir in pursuing higher education, fight against corruption and developing among them the ethics of being a good and responsible citizen of the country.
“He was always there to support local youth. He never allowed his junior officers to misuse power and position by harassing any innocent. We all miss him,” said a group of youth at Sopore where Hussain has also served at various posts.
SSP Imtiyaz Hussain has been on forefront in the service of nation. The officer has performed special duties in counter-terrorism, surveillance, child protection, VIP protection, and civil law enforcement.
He has proved his skills successfully in investigation techniques into major crimes including fraud, rape, murder, and drug trafficking.
This decorated Police Officer, however, has great communication skills and people-friendly approach that makes him favorite among local youth in Kashmir.
Imtiyaz is active on twitter with over 176k followers. He often delivers advices to youth and is also quick to respond queries asked by public on social media.
“He was loveful to youth and respectful to elders. If youth were not pro-India but they are surely pro-Imtiyaz,” says Mushtaq Ahmad, a scholar at Kashmir University.
He added that Imtiyaz changed the mindset of local youth through his humanitarian approach by redressing their grievances and problems.
It were his efforts that all accused in gang rape and murder case of 9 year old girl were trapped and arrested within no time in Uri.
He broke down while narrating the story to media about this gruesome crime.
