Imran Khan picks Omar Ayub as PM nominee

Pakistan’s jailed former premier Imran Khan has picked one of his party’s leaders as nominee for prime minister.

Independent candidates supported by Imran Khan secured 92 seats in the genral elections, making them the largest group. However, they cannot form a government on their own as they ran as individuals rather than as a party.
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has been nominated by his party for the slot of the prime minister.
