Illegal Mining; Two JCBs, Tractor seized in Pulwama, FIR Registered

Pulwama, Mar 7: Intensifying its drive against illegal mining, Pulwama Police seized two JCB machines and one tractor involved in unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals.

Acting on specific information, a police party from Police Station Litter conducted a raid in the jurisdiction and intercepted two JCB machines bearing chassis numbers RAJ3DXXTJ02957413 and NKJ770EMLKKH01547, along with one tractor bearing chassis number IVY5305DCJA001943. The vehicles were found engaged in illegal mining activities.

Accordingly, case FIR No. 27/2026 under section 303(2) BNS and section 3 of the Public Property Damage Act has been registered at Police Station Litter. Investigation has been initiated.

Pulwama Police reiterates its commitment to act firmly against illegal mining and urges the public to share information about such unlawful activities.
