Husband among four arrested in connection with women’s death in Budgam
BUDGAM: Police have arrested four family members in connection with the death of a woman in Central Kashmir’s Charar-e-Sharif area of Budgam.
Pertinently, during the sacred night of ‘Qadar’, a woman was found hanging in the premises of her husband’s home at Darwan Nowgam area of Charar-e-Sharif.
Prima facie it seemed a case of suicide, however, the family members of woman accused the in-laws of the woman of murdering her.
Subsequently, taking cognizance of the complaint registered by the family members of the deceased woman, police registered an FIR vide number 40/202 and started investigation.
Quoting police sources news agency Kashmir News Trust reported that four persons including the husband (Shafi Mir) of the woman, her father-in-law (Ghulam Muhammad Mir), mother-in-law (Zeba Bano) and sister-in-law (Mubeena Akhtar) have been arrested so far.
The accused women were sent to Women’s police station Rambagh while rest are lodged at police station Charar-e-Sharif. (KNT)
