Hurriyat (G) concerned over horrific atmosphere created by forces
Condemns night raids, incarceration of innocent youth
Srinagar, Jun 28 Hurriyat Conference (G) expressed serious concern for creating horrific and fearful atmosphere by forces and SOG personnel through frequent night raids on the residences of ex-mujahideen and pro-freedom political activists and leaders.
According to the statement issue to KNS, Hurriyat (G) while condemning night raids and incarceration of innocent youth, expressed anguish, the statement said and strongly criticized the role of puppet administration for use of muscular tactics against innocent people.
Hurriyat (G) denounced authorities for their move to harass senior APHC leader Ab Ahad Waza and Master Ali Mohammad (Bandipora), saying the forces personnel deployed in Awoora Zurhama forces camp and local SOG camp harassed and intimidated inmates.
Hurriyat in its statement strongly condemned the arrest of Ab Hamid Parey, Khurshid Ahmad Hajjam, Nisar Ahmad Rather, Gh Hassan Shah, Mohd Muzaffar Lone (Hajin Bandipora) and Shakil Ahmad Sofi (Baramulla) by SOG and police, saying authorities detained these activists on flimsy and fabricated grounds.
Hurriyat Conference while condemning the latest spurt in arrest spree, and terming as political vendetta and against all norms, said, the unlawful and unjustified detention of political workers, ex-Mujahideen is a worst kind of humiliation and dishonour and ruled out any possibility of surrender or compromise with its political agenda, saying coercive and suppressive measures won’t force us to submission.
Right to self -determination is a legitimate and democratic solution to Kashmir issue, said Hurriyat (G) and despite repressive and suppressive measures employed by occupational forces, the movement will be taken to its logical conclusion, statement added.
Referring to recent reports of UNHRC about human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Jammu Kashmir, the Hurriyat said, the report serves as an eye-opener for Indian authorities.
Hurriyat suggested authorities to read writing on wall, shun rigidity and egoistic approach and impressed to accept verdict of people and honour ground realities about people’s right to self-determination.
