Horticulture Department Conducts Training Programme
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 12: Department of Horticulture conducted two days training programme under MIDH and ATMA Scheme to generate awareness amongst the orchardists.
About 41 orchardists of Jammu district participated in the event. Guest Lectures of the scientists of SKUAST-J along with field visits have been arranged to create awareness amongst the farmers about new technology adopted in Horticulture sector. During the programme farmers will also visit SKUAST-J, Vijaypur, Akhnoor and KVK Reasi.
Deputy Director Horticulture, Shafiqa Khalid inaugurated the training programme and impressed upon the farmers to avail maximum benefit from the training programme and adopt latest technology in their respective orchards.
Chief Horticulture Officer Jammu, S. Sarbjit Singh, District Horticulture Officer, Vijay Kumar Angurana, DLSMS, Sanjeev Kurlupia, DLSMS, Pardeep Gupta and DLSMS, Sandeep Kumar, Horticulture Development Officer Dheeraj Sharma besides other officers participated in the programme.
