HMT locals accused Kashmiri BJP leader of “extortion”, appeals PM, LG for intervention
“He asked his PSOs to beat us, threat us”

Srinagar, Nov 6: Some locals of HMT Saturday accused a Kashmiri BJP leader of committing extortion and using his personal security officers to beat them.
The viral video on social media showed the man identifying himself as Manzoor Ahmad Khan of HMT, saying: “My name is Manzoor Ahmad Khan. I have over 40 kanals of land in Khushipora HMT. This BJP leader came along with his PSOs and started beating us. He was demanding protection money.”
In the same video, another person sindetying himself as Muhammad Iqbal Lone narrated similar story.

“We want to ask BJP higher ups that is this your Naya Kashmir. At one hand Prime Minister is talking about embracing Kashmiris and on other hand its KAshmir based leader is committing extortion, demanding protection money and using PSOs to beat and threaten innocent Kashmris,” he adds in the video.
They duo appearing in this video can be seen appealing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to personally intervene and save the “innocent people in Kashmir from extortion being committed by this BJP leader.”
