Hizb militant associate held in Awantipora; Arms & Ammunition recovered

Srinagar, Oct 30: Awantipora Police along with security forces have arrested one militant associate linked with proscribed militant outfit HM in Awantipora.

The arrested militant associate has been identified as Firdous Ahmad Dar resident of Dangerpora Noorpora area of Awantipora.

Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have been recovered from his possession. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation.

As per police records he was involved in providing shelter, logistic and other support to the active HM militants besides transporting arms & ammunition in Awantipora & Tral area.

In this connection a case vide FIR No. 153/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
