Hideout Busted In Mendhar, Arms And Ammunition Recovered

Poonch: Government forces on Tuesday busted a hideout in Mendhar area of Poonch district and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition.

“Today on a specific information Army CI Force Romeo along with Mendhar police carried out a search operation at Gursai area and busted the hideout,” a police officer said.

He said that the joint team recovered arms, ammunition and other warlike stores which include one AK-47 along with 03 Magazine and 90 rounds, 6 pistols along with 10 magazines, one chinese grenade, Pak currency, 6 Pika rounds, eatables, clothes, mobile phones, Pak SIM, Knife, nail cutter, etc.

The officer said that the police has taken cognizance in this matter. “A case under FIR no. 41/2019 under relevant sections has been registered at PS Gursai and further investigations taken up”.
