HDFC Bank Denies Link to Viral Audio Clip of Woman Insulting CRPF Personnel
Mumbai, India – HDFC Bank has issued a formal clarification after an audio clip went viral on social media in which a woman is allegedly heard speaking disrespectfully to a CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) personnel.
Several online posts had wrongly identified the woman as an employee of HDFC Bank, prompting the lender to respond publicly.
In a statement, the bank said:
“We would like to clarify that this individual is not an employee of HDFC Bank. The conduct heard in the clip is neither acceptable nor does it reflect our values as an organisation.”
The clarification comes amid growing outrage over the incident, with many social media users calling for accountability. The bank stressed that it holds the highest regard for security forces and rejected any association with the behaviour captured in the viral clip.
