HCI Member Er Aijaz Hussain visits Hajj House Sgr; takes stock of arrangements
Srinagar, May 29: Young BJP leader and Member Haj Committee of India (HCI) Er Ajiaz Hussain today visited Hajj House in Srinagar to take stock of the arrangements put in place for pilgrims and staff besides the vaccination drive for Hajj aspirants started across J&K today.

Er Aijaz was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Muhammad Aijaz Assad and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) J&K Hajj Committee Dr Abdul Salaam Mir. In a statement issued here, Er Aijaz said that he interacted with the staff at Hajj house and pilgrims who had come for vaccination and completion of other formalities.

“I reviewed the arrangements and took stock of the preparations by the Hajj house staff for ensuring all facilities for the Hajjis. Certain important directions were passed to Hajj house staff for facilitating Hajis who are set to head for holy cities of Makkah and Madina,” Er Aijaz said.
He said that as of now all arrangements are in place but further steps will be taken to streamline the Hajj arrangements and to make the process smooth and hassle free. After seeing the Haj aspirants waiting for queues to get vaccinated, Er Aijaz rang Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmed and urged him to increase the number of vaccination counters at the Hajj house so that Haj aspirants doesn’t have to wait for long to get vaccinated. Er Aijaz also sought help from the District Administration by seeking deployment of volunteers from SDRF to be deputed at Hajj house to facilitate Hajj aspirants.
The first Hajj flight will take from Srinagar airport on June 5. Er Aijaz, who is also the incharge of Embankment points in Srinagar and Lucknow, said that this year focus is on to provide quality facilities to aspirants and to ensure all possible facilities for the Hajj aspirants at two holy cities of Makah and Madina. He said counselling centres have also been set up at Hajj house Srinagar to facilitate Hujaj in a friendly manner.
Almost 83000 Muslims will perform Haj 2022 from across India while as 7000 pilgrims will leave for holy pilgrimage from J&K.
