Gunfight erupts in Shopian’s Reban village

Srinagar: A gunfight erupted between government forces and militants at Khwajapora area in Reban village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday morning.

Sources said 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.

Earlier government forces had launched cordon and search operation in the village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.

Firing was going on from both sides when reports last came in.
