Gunfight erupts in Amshipora Shopian
Shopian: A gunfight erupted between government forces and militants at Amshipora village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday morning.
According to reports 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.
Earlier, government forces including J&K Police, Army’s 62 RR and CRPF had launched cordon and search operation in the village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Shopian district as a precautionary measure.
