Gunfight breaks out in Srinagar city
Srinagar: A gunfight broke out between government forces and militants at Kanemazar Nawakadal area of Srinagar city on Tuesday morning.
According to reports 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this gunfight.
Earlier, government forces including J&K Police and CRPF had launched cordon and search operation in Nawakadal area of Srinagar city following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Exchange of firing was going on when reports last came in.
Meanwhile authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Srinagar city as a precautionary measure.
