Gunfight breaks out in Shopian village
Shopian: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces at Pandushan village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
Reports said 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.
Earlier government forces including Army’s 34RR, SOG and CRPF had launched cordon and search operation (CASO) in Pandushan village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Firing was going on when reports last came in.
Meanwhile authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Shopian district as a precautionary measure.
