Govt of India reacts to ANN News Story, assures facilitating mortal remains of J&K man in Kuwait back to country

Srinagar, Nov 18: Reacting to news run ANN News about the poor labour working in Kuwait who died of cardiac arrest, Government of India said that it is taking necessary steps to facilitate return of mortal remains back to the country.
Muhammad Sadeeq Bhatadhurian Mendhar in Poonch district of J&K had been working in Kuwait as labourer to earn livelihood.
However, he passed away a few days back due to cardiac arrest in Kuwait.
The ANN News highlighted the plight of the family and their appeal to the Government of India, seeking return back to India from Kuwait so that the family can perform his last rites.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait reacted to the ANN News and tweeted: “We are available 24*7 for assistance. We will send the mortal remains immediately on receipt of information.
