Government’s criminal nonchalance continues to haunt Kashmiri people amidst Covid-19: AIP
Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Awami Itehad Party leader and Spokesperson Sheeban Ashai lashed out at Government’s inefficacious approach towards mitigating people’s miseries amidst Covid-19 shutdowns.
Admonishing approach of LG administration Ashai lambasted current state of affairs, failure of Government to dispel misgivings regarding vaccines itself.
Ashai blamed outlandish-ludicrous commentary of senior BJP functionaries for people’s apprehensions around vaccines.
When BJP MP Pragya Thakur makes claims about Covid being cured from cow urine, Baba Ramdev who is supposedly very close to BJP is allowed to share stage with Union Heath Minister and furnish untrue, obnoxious public statements people at large mustn’t be blamed for doubting every effort of present regime.
Ashai censured the heartless approach of present administration for cold shouldering repeated demands of daily wagers, business bodies in Kashmir.
He said, “We have demanded from Government of the day a comprehensive economic package for the struggling Business community of Kashmir, at least 10% of budgetary allocations must be allocated for reviving private businesses in Jammu and Kashmir. More than two lakh people lost their jobs, losses of nearly one lakh crores were suffered by Kashmiri business post the unconstitutional abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A”.
AIP leader called the welfare packages for poorest of poor, economically weaker sections as odiously inadequate.
A monthly sustenance allowance of one thousand rupees tantamounts to throwing crumbs at hapless, rubbing salt in the wounds of suffering classes.
Ashai also called out cosmetic measures of current dispensation, he termed LG’s call to various opposition parties as half hearted, last minute damage control. He urged the LG administration to immediately call an all party meeting to ensure a pragmatic-collective response for tackling covid-19.
Party demanded LG administration to shun their callous approach and ensure miseries of common people are expeditiously mitigated in a time bound manner.
