GNS Strongly Refutes Police Statement

Srinagar, Dec 12: GNS strongly refutes the statement by police and would like to put record straight that no picture whatsoever has been circulated by GNS as regards injury to any civilian at encounter site in Sopore on Wednesday.

The GNS also requests police to thoroughly investigate before making any statement which has a tendency to discredit the reputation of GNS. “We at GNS try to make all efforts to maintain credibility and any attempt by any organization to discredit is highly detestable”.

The GNS also requests police higher-ups to look into the matter and see action is taken against those who issued such an irresponsible statement.

Earlier, police issued a statement which reads: “All media friends are requested to refrain from spreading any unsubstantiated and unconfirmed news about Sopore. Some GNS person has spread that a civilian has got injured in Sopore which is totally baseless. The operation is still in the initial stage and there is nothing important to be shared as yet.” (GNS)
